It isn't over thinking. It's making sure we know why we are doing it and going through with it and admitting when it should be changed to a different server. Without this stated criteria (if we desire to have stated criteria) the same thing can happen that has haopened with one of the current servers RJ is talking about getting rid of that has stayed stagnant for years? Also, it puts into context what would be expected of us players who vote for it. No expectations is fine if that's what's decided. As RJ has implied, we may need people to show up as he said he did for the RX server. I don't know if someone just wants to slap something together for no reason who is super busy.
As for the server space and how many servers it can handle it was my understanding only one server was going to be implimented. Not the top 2 or 3 choices. It may change and who ever decides will let us know.
I don't care what everyone decides. I'm not in charge of anything except myself. I'm just adding things someone may find valuable. I'm not in charge of this operation.
I'm voting for RX BR and if that fails I'll be hosting my own server for it.
Can't wait to see what happens! =)
I'd make your own server of it just to test it first
I don't see bombing run being fun with the current version of the rx, maybe the rb rx, but not the current version
It's too fast, too easy to shake a rocket off of you, and easy enough to escape the explosions. In watching the slv videos, you're not going to get that same experience from the current rockets, it's just going to be players grabbing and capping over and over again while the run of the mill spammers sit on the ground and spam non stop rockets.
It's gonna be like regular ctf, but with just one flag, and a lot less fun.
But I'd fully support testing the server first to work out the bugs and making the gameplay balanced
