this looks fun to do, but I would never waste my time doing this for my home network LOL it's a bit overkill. I'm good with my firewall and bitdefender. Now if I was sharing internet with neighbors or running a public hot spot then I'd be all about this.

LOL. then I just over over killed it. Just added Unbound so that I'm my own recursive DNS server (supposedly better than DoH).

So after almost a year, this thing still rocks. I liked it so much I installed a VPN server (OVPNS) so that I could use it from anywhere and from any device (tablet/phone/etc), not to mention avoid any snoops on public networks, etc. I have since changed VPN's to Wireguard, and it is awesome as well.
