Are you having server lag issues?

Post by =(V)=RocketJedi »

detailed info on lag here ---> https://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3930

Or just follow this:

Windows
1.Open the Start menu
2.Click on Run
3.Type cmd and then press the OK button to open a command prompt
4.At the prompt, type tracert 63.251.20.60 or whatever server ip you are playing on and press the Enter key
5.To copy the output, right-click anywhere in the window and select Mark. You can press Enter to copy all of the output, or select the text you want to copy and then right-click with your mouse. Paste the copied text by hitting CTRL + V.

Linux
1.Open a terminal window
2.Type traceroute 63.251.20.60 at the prompt and press the Enter key

Note: To traceroute IPv6 you would simply execute traceroute6 yourdomain.com

Mac OS
1.Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Network Utility -> Traceroute
2.Type 63.251.20.60 in the appropriate input field and press Trace. You can also open a terminal window and use the same instructions as you would for performing a traceroute in Linux.

Highly recommended if you want clear results
you can also run this program while playing ut to try and catch the lag issues. you have to let it run for a while at least a few games. IT doesn't impact game performance at all.

fyi, if u use the program QTracker (server viewer tool) then it has a built in tracert, just right click on the server, go to Ping & Traceroute---> Traceroute... . Just started using this program again (been a few years) yesterday after the news about xfire and found it out, the timing worked out well :D

I've had some lag issues but not all the time. My pings are actually pretty good.
