I got the 256 Samsung evo 840 pro . came with software to image my old system to the new drive.. epic

well i looked at bestbuys site and it said they had the evo in stock, but when i got there all they had was intel and pny i think it was. i figured intel would be the best thing to get out of the 2 choices. mine came with software to copy my old hard drive but it wanted to copy the whole thing instead of just the os partition so i just reinstalled windows anyway. i had just done it a few days before cuz i got more ram and needed to switch to 64bit so it wasnt like i was gonna lose anything

no, just the ram, yeah i didnt see a need to be running 64bit since i only had 4gb of ram.

^ yeah but then only 3.5GB shows up and is usable (sometimes less) and you waste 500MB ram

yeah but even now its not showing all 8gb is usable. its showing 7.5gb

disable the Intel once in device manager it may free up the ram. most new processors come with the integrated video card in the processor. you can disable it in bios too I think.

i dont have intel, i have amd. i will have to check bios, i didnt see anything last time but maybe i over looked it.
