I'd be happy to e-mail you a WaveStudio editor to edit .wav files Chris. You can edit your songs by applying an equalizer, echo, reverb, change the Pitch, speed, etc. It came free with a Creative sound card I had a long time ago, but it doesn't require a Creative card. I still use it now. It's a simple but working program if you're interested.

I want the whole song to be played with a higher pitch, and I have to modify it by myself, because it can't be found on youtube. So I'm looking for free full version software which can change the pitch of a song. I will try the things you gave me when I'm home.

The problem occuring by audacity was that the quality of the music was horrible, it could change the pitch, but the quality was too bad...

if your interested in checking out Virtual DJ
heres the site...that showcases the program and its features and such
http://www.virtualdj.com/

** ill send ya a PM for the program with a crack ;)

for the recent release :
Virtual DJ Pro v7 4 1 + Crack
Size 39.9 MB

___
but for ease ....the creative product myster is talking about may be a lot more simplistic to use
*that is if it allows pitch changing..than you may feel more comfortable tryin to to learn on that
as this virtual DJ is geared towards more professional use

** but there are a lot of forum and tutorials available if ya need help with this program out there
where as the creative one...well good luck finding help with that online

Hmm.. my version from Creative is 7.11, my folder for "wave editors" on my comp is empty..er. I have a program called FlexiWave Editor that may work but it's a work around. You can change the speed which changes the pitch as well then use the "stretch" option which doesn't alter the pitch. That may be too much work...

ya...that's the problem with many programs out there
by pitch changing.....it just speeds up or slows down the BPM

so I sent him a copy of virtual DJ...
as I know there is a pitch changer in that program that has the option to not affect the BPM of the song

just have to make sure you select the proper settings
*there is a tutorial on the web for doing exactly that ...as I have used it before for a simple quick fix in the past

hopefully he'll be able to understand/use that when he returns from the alps

I already returned from the alps... Lolll

But... Well... My school decided to give me a huge pile of homework which I had to make in only ONE day...
So I was tired and didn't had the feeling to try it out.
I will try hopefully this weekend, but I guess it will be the next weekend because my mom is a bit sick ATM, and needs taken care of her.
