I Know Where I'll Be Moving

My husband got his orders last night. The next base we'll be stationed at is Little Rock AFB in Arkansas. I was a little disappointed at first, as that was not one of the bases on our dreamsheet, but after looking into it, Little Rock is a pretty nice city. There are some spiffy neighborhoods and they seem to have quite a bit of amenities. I think it'll be a good place to move to. =-]

I googled a few pictures, looks like a nice place to live in. I think I would like living in different places in my lifetime, but I would like to be the one to choose. I guess it's not like that in the army. Think positive about it Pie and I hope that you will really like the place :) I m sure it will be better than UK

Yeah, I did some research, and I'm actually looking forward to it. I think it'll be a nice change, but closer to what I'm used to. I can't wait!

When do you plan on moving there? I always thought that the smallest towns were the best places to live and grow a family. Hopefully you will like your new home.

I love s mall towns maybe for retirement, but for children not so good. I feel a city or even large city opens their horizons for more opportunities, growth as a person,and social experience. I almost forgot that in a bigger city area there is a better chance for children to be more cultured by different cultures lol just my opinion :)

I'm originally from Vegas, so I always prefer bigger cities, but it'll be nice to see how Little Rock is. We'll probably only be there a year or so though. My husband plans to cross-train into a different field when he can, and that'll be the middle of 2015. The job he'll be going into doesn't offer Little Rock as a base option, so we'll see what happens.

@Qwerty: Yes, ping will be an improvement. Looks like Comcast is big there, and we could get the package that offers up to 105mbps. So, here's hoping!
