in most cases i would agree, but I would lose all my functionality and have to spend at least 500 on a head unit that has all my current features.

Besides this was really easy to do.

battery in trunk and wiring was right there as well.

all fixed! just as I suspected power wire was loose. Remote wire was still working hence why i saw the amp turning on.
