Re: Pi Hole
this looks fun to do, but I would never waste my time doing this for my home network LOL it's a bit overkill. I'm good with my firewall and bitdefender. Now if I was sharing internet with neighbors or running a public hot spot then I'd be all about this.=(V)=Prince Vegeta wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 4:34 pm Just added OpenVPN to the Pi and my phones and computers used away from home. Ad/malicious site blocking from wherever I am, not to mention the VPN tunnel to my home network for more security on public networks and/or corporate corporate firewall evasion.Region capture 25.pngRegion capture 24.png
either way pretty cool stuff :)

Re: Pi Hole
LOL. then I just over over killed it. Just added Unbound so that I'm my own recursive DNS server (supposedly better than DoH).=(V)=RocketJedi wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 8:27 amthis looks fun to do, but I would never waste my time doing this for my home network LOL it's a bit overkill. Re: Pi Hole
So after almost a year, this thing still rocks. I liked it so much I installed a VPN server (OVPNS) so that I could use it from anywhere and from any device (tablet/phone/etc), not to mention avoid any snoops on public networks, etc. I have since changed VPN's to Wireguard, and it is awesome as well.
