I agree with bloody. Do no fall into the helpdesk role you will be stepped on hardcore. Although its gratifying being the super hero you will be paid shit and stepped on by management. Get your certifications dont be a bum like me. I highly suggest VMware certifications Hyper-V and google and amazon cloud certs. you can tinker with the fun stuff on the side.

For Silver Fox - something to consider
This is directly from The New York Times - 01-25-2023 :
" The new year brought even more bleeding in Silicon Valley: Last week, Google’s parent company, Alphabet, said it planned to lay off 12,000 of its workers, Microsoft said it would cut 10,000 employees and on Monday, Spotify said it would reduce its staff by 6 percent, about 600 people. Add up the losses and more than 216,000 tech employees have been laid off since the start of 2022, according to Layoffs.fyi, a site that tracks job cuts in the sector. "

Re: How is everyone doing ?
those are huge tech companies I wouldn't sweat it or even worry about that. Look at managed services companies and other I.T specific firms and roles. They are hiring like crazy. I would concentrate on cloud though.=(V)=SILVER_FOX wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 10:24 amWow.. thats not good.. but good info to consider, Thanks Sean=(V)=~Sean~ wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 8:04 am For Silver Fox - something to consider

Re: How is everyone doing ?
you probably overwrote important system files. I would wipe an reinstall or try installing the latest patch again.

Re: How is everyone doing ?
Re-installing the 4.69B patch didn't help.
The 7z file I obtained from Medor Files / No IP was the culprit.
It was titled "MH entire catalog.7z"
I will let him know it is broken. I tried it with just 4.36 no delta and it was still beat. :(
I also asked evilgrins what patch he was running. I will try and troubleshoot what's up. I'd like to try out his cool maps. That batwings mod he forwarded awhile back was sick !
I was a fuckin' Warlord, baby !

You must extract MH_Entire.7z in a separate folder where you want.
NOT in your UTplayer install.
If you ave broken your UT player i ave one for you do download.
you are under vista and set the patch vista ? http://medor.no-ip.org/index.php?dir=Pa ... rch_mode=f there is a patch 469 VISTA to use

Re: How is everyone doing ?
No, I am not using Vista. This is where the confusion is. I am running Windows 11 Pro
This screen shot was just made. It is just utilizing the demo, and then applying the 4.69 C patch.
I will uninstall and run CCleaner afterwards and use just the B patch and see where that goes. I want to utilize the 4K high-res textures again, too. My install used to look great ! I am using an XFX RX 480 8GB of RAM GPU. The system has 32 GB of RAM. It's way more than Epic ever thought of.
I'll have to hit up Slagg again for semi-admin on the RX server.
